Welcome to Mrs. Porcho's 8th Grade Language Arts Class! Week of November 17, 2008 Monday (Library Day): Vocab pg. 349. Spelling Book pgs 66-67. Cornell Notes on "Travels With Charley" pgs. 350-358. DOL/DW with 12 sentences. Tuesday: Reader's Companion pgs. 78-85, SSWB pgs. 111-113, DOL/DW with 12 sentences. Wednesday: (Minimum Day) ILS in reading book pg. 360 ALL, Spelling Book pgs. 68-69 , DOL/DW with 12 sentences. Thursday: Grade Spelling Books. DOL/DW with 12 sentences. Open Book Test. Worksheet. DUE FRIDAY: SPELLING CONTRACT, DOL/DW, & READING PACKET Friday (Computer Lab Day): Reading Test, Spelling Test, and computer lab. Start travel brochure. REMINDERS--- NOV. 19--Minimum Day NOV. 21---BRING CANNED/BOXED FOODS & UNWRAPPED NEW TOYS FOR THE HOLIDAY DRIVE. NOV. 26-28--Thanksgiving Holiday DEC. 1--We begin to read The Outsiders. Buy a personal copy if you want one to take home. |
