Discipline Plan

SCHOOLHOUSE BULLETIN BOARDS

Dear Parents,

I am looking forward to meeting you and working with your child in my classroom.  I plan on making my classroom a positive learning environment for my students.  In order to achieve this goal I will need your cooperation in enforcing my classroom discipline plan.  This plan includes classroom rules, consequences, and rewards.  My discipline plan is as follows:

  Classroom Rules

1.  There will be no disruptive behavior.

2.  Follow directions the first time given                             .

3.  Treat others as you would like to be treated.

4.  Do not speak while the teacher is speaking.

5.  Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.

I use a behavior clipchart to track behavior every day.  Every student starts on green every day.  Students may move up and down the chart throughout the day.

1.  Yellow- Outstanding (student receives a Bobcat Hero)

2.  Red- Great Job (student receives a ticket)

3.  Orange-  Good Job (student recieves verbal praise)

4. Green- Let's Go! (students are ready to go and are following the rules)

5.  Blue- Think About It (warning)

6.  Gray- Teacher's Choice (student misses out on recess or other rewarding activity the teacher chooses)

7.  Brown- Contact Parent (a note is sent home for a parent to sign and return)

*If the note is not returned the following day, the parent will be contacted by phone.

*If the student is on brown and still breaking the rules he/she will be sent to the principal.

*Any kind of physical contact, and the student will go directly to the principal.
