Spring Picture Day

Fox School Portraits will be at Lakeside on Monday, March 15, 2010 to photograph your student's "Personality Portrait." Every student will be photographed on our Splash Background. This is your chance to get professional portraits at school picture prices!

Parent Conferences

Wednesday & Thursday, March 24th and 25th

Spring Recess

(School will resume on Tuesday, April 6)

There is no suprevision for children during conferences times. Please make prior arrangements for supervision of your children.

Kindergarten - 5th Grade parents may receive a letter from the classroom teacher with a scheduled date and time for a parent conference. Parents can also contact teachers to schedule a conference.
- There are no After-School classes.
6th, 7th and 8th Grade parents may schedule a conference by contacting the teacher(s).
- There is No After-School Homework Club.
ISS/Opportunity Class will be dismissed at 1:22 pm during this week. Students must either ride the bus home or be picked up no later than 1:30 pm
Dismissal Times: All buses will run one hour earlier than normal.
- Kindergarten - 5th Grade @ 1:22 pm
- Middle School @ 2:24 pm

Parent Notice - 7th Grade Writing Test

7th Grade Writing Test
California's Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program

Your student will be participating in the 7th Grade Writing Test component of the STAR program on March 2nd. Scores for this component are combined with students' scores on the multiple-choice component of the test to produce California English-Language scores.

It is important that students do their best to increase the accuracy of the results. You are a vital partner in the testing process and can help by:

Making sure your child has plent of rest on the night before testing.
Provide a good breakfast on testing days.
Helping your child see the test as an opportunity to show what he/she has learned and encourage your child to do his/her best.
Avoid scheduling appointments or activities that will take your child away from school during testing time.
Be sure your child arrives to school on time.
