Dear Parents/Guardians of 8th Grade Students:

Any student who anticipates participating in graduation activities must:
 
1. Maintain a respectable level of conduct with no more than 6 disciplinary referrals and/or 2 suspensions.
2. Sustain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.5.
3. Not exceed an absentee rate of 20% of the total number of enrolled school days and no verification of illness forthcoming.

Please discuss these standards with your student and encourage them to continue to make their best effort for the remainder of the school year.  The criteria for the Graduation ceremony, trip, and party can be found on the reserve side of this letter.

This year our graduation ceremony will be at 10:00 am on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Independence High School.

Also, a Parent Planning Meeting will be scheduled in February 2012 in the Lakeside School Auditorium.  We will discuss graduation activities at that time.

I believe a strong home-school connection provides the best experience for our children, and look forward to our year-end culminating activities.
