All 6th graders have been given ONE orange homework folder. One side is for the "TO DO" hw and the other side is for the "DONE" work that gets turned in to the teacher. All students should be keeping their HW in that ONE ORANGE FOLDER.

1. www.answers.com Info about topics from encyclopedias, and other reference books.
2. www.infoplease.com facts; info. from dictionaries, almanacs,encyclopedias, etc.
3. http://ipl.org The internet public library..all kinds of stuff to research!
4. www.kidinfo.com collection of websites created by a teacher...organized by subject area.
5. www.classzone.com Website that correlates with science book!
All assignments in science subject to change throughout the week.
HW and Assignments:
1st quarter projects are due: OCTOBER 13
* Directions, quidelines will be handed out.
Week of August 18th - August 22nd
Monday: HW: Parents need to discuss science expectation packet with student and sign slip. Student should bring it back tomorrow intheir orange folder. FYI: All students will need 2 pictures of themselves for 2 small projects this week and next in science.
Tuesday: HW: Complete the rough draft of their "science star" activity on lined paper. Directions were handed out in class today.
Wednesday: HW: Put finishing touches on "science star" activity. We worked on project in class today. Best ones earn 5 extra credit points. Project due beinning of class Thursday. Are yellow emergency cards filled out and returned???
Thursday: HW: Finish "rough" draft of environmental poem on lined paper or typed. Directions handed out in class today. FYI: All yellow emergency cards were due today in homeroom classes.
Friday: HW: All science materials should be in class on Monday for material check. Science environmental poems are due Tuesday.
