Word Processing Using Poetry

 

Examples of the 24 Ken Nesbitt Poems are available in the Computer Lab!


Poem List

  • Select a Poem to Publish from the list provided in class by your teacher.

  • Open Microsoft Word on your computer.

  • Type each poem to fit on one page.

  • Type each poem exactly as it appears (do not copy and paste).

  • Include the author’s name at the end of the poem.

  • You must include your name, teacher’s name, class period, and due date somewhere on the assignment (it must be typed, not written).

  • Be creative and design the poem to fit on one page using:

    • clip art or word art

    • colorful text and font styles

    • backgrounds or borders

  • Print poem (one page only!!!) and turn in!

Raise Hand: Papers will be graded as follows:                 50 points (each poem)

  •   5 points - Name (name, teacher’s name, class period, and due date)

  •   5 points - Author’s Name (at the end of the poem)

  •   5 points – Fits on One Page (Printed)

  • 10 points - Accuracy (Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar)

  • 10 points - On Time

  • 15 points – Creativity (Clip Art, Fonts, Theme)
