I have been happily teaching 2nd grade at Donald E. Suburu School since the opening of the school in the spring of 1998 (I started with the Lakeside Union School District that same 1997-1998 school year teaching a 1st/2nd grade combination class). Before being an at-home mom to my two, now adult children, I taught English as a Second Language in Orange County, CA (as an aide for five years and as a teacher for one year).  After that, I taught Bilingual Kindergarten for two years (still in OC) and a year of part-time teaching second grade in the Bakersfield City School District before coming to Lakeside Union. 

     Teaching second grade at Suburu for two decades has brought many fond, rewarding experiences and I can honestly say that my class is my home away from home.  I truly believe that education is one of the keys to success in life.  It is my sincere hope that in teaching children, I make a lasting, positive impact on their lives!
